Quality Assurance & Testing

Quality engineering, not end-of-line inspection

Test strategy, automation frameworks and performance engineering built into the delivery pipeline, so defects are caught where they are cheap and releases stop depending on heroics.

Overview

What you get from this practice

Most of our QA work is on systems built by other people, including live estates under active change. We start with an assessment of current coverage and risk before proposing a programme.

  • Regression runs finishing inside the pipeline, not overnight
  • Flaky tests treated as defects, with an owner and a deadline
  • Performance budgets enforced per release rather than per crisis
  • Defect escape rate reported to the business every sprint
  • A test suite your developers extend without being asked

Typical engagement

Starts with: a short, fixed-scope discovery

First release: in production early, not at the end

Team: named in the proposal

Exit: documented and rehearsed from day one

Capabilities

What this practice covers

Test strategy & advisory

Risk-based test planning, environment strategy, tooling selection and quality metrics that inform decisions.

Test automation

Maintainable UI, API and integration suites in the pipeline, designed to survive refactors instead of being deleted.

Performance engineering

Load, stress, soak and spike testing with bottleneck analysis down to query and thread level.

Security testing

OWASP-aligned assessment, dependency and container scanning, and remediation guidance ranked by severity.

Accessibility testing

WCAG 2.2 AA validation combining automated coverage with manual assistive-technology testing.

Managed QA teams

Dedicated quality specialists embedded in your delivery squads under your release process.

How we deliver

From first conversation to a running system

Step 01

Quality assessment

Current coverage, defect trends, escaped-defect analysis and where the pipeline lets problems through.

Step 02

Design the pyramid

The right test at the right level, with explicit decisions about what will not be automated and why.

Step 03

Build & integrate

Frameworks built into CI with parallel execution, flake quarantine and reporting the whole team reads.

Step 04

Sustain

Suite health monitoring, a maintenance budget and periodic strategy review as the product changes.

Technology

What we build with

We keep a deliberately narrow toolset so the depth is real. Within it, the choice is made per engagement based on your team and your constraints rather than our preferences.

Where your team already knows a technology well, that usually outweighs a marginal technical advantage elsewhere — and we will say so.

Questions

Quality Assurance & Testing, answered plainly

The questions clients actually ask about this practice, including the awkward ones.

All FAQs

Enough to make releases boring, which is rarely everything. We automate the highest-risk, highest-frequency paths first and keep deliberate manual coverage for exploratory testing, which automation is genuinely bad at.

Common and fixable. We quarantine, root-cause and rebuild the unstable suites — the causes are usually timing assumptions, shared test data and environment coupling rather than the tool.

Most of our QA work is exactly that. We start with a short assessment to establish coverage and risk before proposing a programme.

We perform OWASP-aligned application security testing and remediation guidance. For formal certification-grade penetration testing we coordinate with accredited partners and manage the remediation cycle.
